Asking for Guidance on Handling Research Deadlines

I'm now struggling to balance my research writing, part-time job, and coursework.  The tension feels too much at times, and I genuinely question whether I should just hire someone to do my dissertation.  Instead of giving up, though, I would like to hear from those who have already gone through this process. How did you handle motivation, deadlines, and the massive quantity of reading that was required?  I would greatly appreciate any advice on how to divide the job into more manageable, smaller goals.
